These were made rather hastily in one evening. I’d gotten bored of simple field compositions and wanted to add some basic geometric shapes. The vertical slices reminded me of Barnett Newman’s The Stations of the Cross.

They’re minimal in terms of shapes, and in terms of color. The amount of colors could be reduced a bit more, perhaps. Would you consider the texture a color?

The field of color allows the viewer to appreciate the texture of the brush, even if it is digital.
