This was mildly interesting.

I created the first one. I thought I might sketch something on top, but nothing inspired me. I tried blending other colors on top, but nothing moved me much. The last ditch effort was placing another field of color on top, even that did not impress me much. Maybe, it didn’t need anything more.
No, what it needed was some company. Hence, four jades.

I often have this desire to endlessly add and add to a piece until there isn’t much more to add. Definitely leaning more to the maximalist side of minimalist-maximalism. Using only digital methods, I cannot enhance a piece with the same textures a traditional painter can with the inks and paints. After all, it’s digital it’s an infinitely flat surface. It’s not like I can throw paint onto the digital canvas the same way. At best, I can apply blending techniques of various shades and textured brushes but that pales in comparison to the effect of applying a thick layer of paint with a broad brush.
I plan to create and release within the coming days, additional gems.
